Bing Tobing is a well-rounded mining expert in Indonesia, he is knowledgeable and experienced in both operations and administration support areas. He is currently advising Executives of some mining companies in Indonesia in various technical and non-technical aspects in mining businesses.
Prior to this role he was President & CEO at PT Bara Sentosa Lestari since July 2009 until December 2011 and President & CEO at PT Bara Mutiara Prima since January 2012 until December 2016, both are coal mines.
He was Independent Commissioner at PT Timah (Persero) Tbk from May 2009 to March 2014. Mr. Tobing spent 27 years with PT International Nickel Indonesia Tbk (PT INCO now is called PT Vale Indonesia Tbk) and held various roles. He started his career at Inco as an Assistant Mine Planning Engineer, Mine Planning Engineer, Chief Mine Engineer, Mine General Manager, Vice President (VP) Operations, VP Business Services and Organization Development and Senior VP Administration before promoted to President & CEO. He was graduated from Mines Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). His desire is to share his knowledge and experiences to young professionals with his personal values are integrity, respect, execution, teamwork and fun.
